Postcards from Downtown
A new set begins: Live performance by The Iditarod (Carin Wagner, Jeffrey Alexander, and Will Schaff, joined by Sharron Kraus)
(starts at 1:04:00 into the show)
A new set begins: As The Iditarod describe themselves on their website: "We play quiet music which has been descibed as 'experimental folk' or 'free folk'. We are a duo: Carin Wagner (vocals, lyrical composition, acoustic guitar, tamboura, shruti, bowls, bells, visual art, texture) and Jeffrey Alexander (guitars, banjo, bass, musical composition, phonograph, ambience, electronics), although we like to perform with other artists on a rotating basis. The two of us started playing and writing music together in 1996 while living in Baltimore, MD. We relocated to New England in 1998." Jeffrey and Carin are joined by Sharron Kraus' wonderful voice, banjo, clarinet and tinwhistle as well as the percussion and keyboard of William Schaff.
