A new set begins: Dedicated to Scott Appel
A new set begins: A tribute show of sorts. Acoustic guitarist
Scott Appel
passed into the ether earlier this March '03. Peter Biedermann, who was one of Scott's many friends, gave us some memories, musical and otherwise. The amazing fretman returned with his guitar pyrotechnics for acoustic and electric. Peter was joined by two of Scott's longtime friends and collaborators, Don Sternecker (owner and engineer of
Mix-O-Lydian Studio) and Chris McNally, who had a few tapes to share on air.

A new set begins: Live performance by Peter Biedermann
A new set begins: Peter Biedermann is no stranger to this program, and he had known Scott Appel for about 20 years. (Scott had emailed me a few times to thank me for giving support to Peter's music.) Peter brought his wild array of guitar gizmos to create his magic live in the studio.

A new set begins: Memories of Scott Appel, with longtime friends Chris McNally and Don Sternecker.
A new set begins:
Chris McNally knew Scott since high school, and often played guitar with him at home and on recordings. Don Sternecker had recorded all three of Appel's albums at his Mix-O-Lydian studios, as well as being a longtime pal. I had the pleasure of sitting in while Scott recorded a few of the pieces (nailed in one take!) that ended up on his album, "Parhelion." Don and Chris relayed a few of their memories, and had me play a few of thier favorite Scott Appel recordings.
