A new set begins: Live performance and chat with Nora York & friends. (L to R: Steve, Dave, Nora, Jamie)
A new set begins: Performance artist/jazz chanteuse Nora York is notable for her most unusual interpretations and stylistic mash-ups of popular (and unpopular) song. The New Yorker said of her, "War, Inequality and the abuse of authority are on Nora York's mind these days; unlike most of us, though, this daring vocalist and conceptualist is able to turn her ruminations into fascinating musical explorations." Nora joined Irene for a chat about her current projects and a live performance with her trio, which includes Steve Tarsches on resonator guitar, Dave Hofstra on bass and Jamie Lawrence on melodica.
