	11:42am karlward: I'm looking into branching out into arugula pesto, kale pesto. I have made chimichurri which is great if you have parsley and roasted garlic.
	11:42am βrian: Along with traditional pesto, we make "naked pesto" which we freeze in cube trays. Nothing but fresh basil and good olive oil. It's intended for sauces, stews, etc.

	11:48am Threemoons 🌛🌕🌜: Quick note going back to ramps: DO NOT buy them in stores. Most of them are illegally harvested to the point where they don't grow back the following year. There USED to be huge patches of ramps up near my Mom's old house...on State parkland no less. A few years ago, they literally started vanishing in the middle of the night--pickers would come and clean out whole swaths. Deer and other critters rely on ramps as one of the first foods that comes up in the Spring. Yes to buying or growing garlic scapes instead, or baby leeks from Asian grocers or your local greenmarket. Same can be said for fiddlehead ferns.

	11:42am βrian: Along with traditional pesto, we make "naked pesto" which we freeze in cube trays. Nothing but fresh basil and good olive oil. It's intended for sauces, stews, etc.

	11:48am Threemoons 🌛🌕🌜: Quick note going back to ramps: DO NOT buy them in stores. Most of them are illegally harvested to the point where they don't grow back the following year. There USED to be huge patches of ramps up near my Mom's old house...on State parkland no less. A few years ago, they literally started vanishing in the middle of the night--pickers would come and clean out whole swaths. Deer and other critters rely on ramps as one of the first foods that comes up in the Spring. Yes to buying or growing garlic scapes instead, or baby leeks from Asian grocers or your local greenmarket. Same can be said for fiddlehead ferns.

Have been on just about every brand. They all suck in their own special way, but the one that messed up my taste for Chinese and Indian food was the oddest.

	11:59am skyline chili: Maybe cilantro much like how broccoli tastes bitter to some people, and other people don't taste that bitterness to their taste buds. Fortunately for me I'm one of them. Now I'm not saying that cilantro taste bitter, I'm just saying it taste nasty in a way that I can't describe. But I can say it don't taste like soap.
