I once heard... If-Then-Else, I think, do a mashup of this with Boards of Canada's "Turquoise Hexagon Sun." It was surprisingly good!

That said, the previous two Yes albums are extremely overlooked (Drama, Tormato). And the extraordinary thing about that magnificent band was the lineup changes for each of those records. Only Chris Squire and Alan White played on each of them. Drama was the first time an outside singer sung lead; and then again on 90125, Anderson sharing lead on some songs with Rabin.
There’s also Sandy Nurse, who’s doing some righteous things today, heh…twitter.com... She’s the third person on the city council now who I can think of who was a frequent attendee of Occupy Wall St (Jumanee Williams and the guy from Wash Hts whose name escapes me now). Oh wait, there’s also Julie Salazar, maybe a couple of others. But Salazar is a state rep though, isn’t she?
Digging the stuff, Pseu.

That said though, still some good moments there as well, if you can shield your eyes going in…
@Tom yeah, Howe is there, but not the big one. Then Tony Kaye comes back for the big one, after leaving the band ten years before. For keyboards it was Wakeman, then Geoff Downes, then Kaye. Wild that they had so many lineup changes but managed to retain that Yes essence. Trevor Horn’s singing and melodies on Drama areeerily right in there with Anderson’s.

And I graduated college in the 80’s like Woods. But looking back most of that stuff that was “on the radio” and played over and over in MTV just doesn’t stand up.

Top Gun and Rambo crap, private clubs with doormen and velvet ropes, real estate tv shows, Get Rich Quick scams everywhere, piles of unsolicited credit cards arriving in the mail to any and everyone, “personal injury lawyers” cropping up like weeds, commodification of personal relationships, Business Economics majors (all over my school) who went straight to Wall St, the denigration of the collective community replaced by worship of the Rich, etc.
Shows like Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous epitomized the era for me.
The 80’s sucked sooooo bad…
