It was a romantic thing for them - my fathers ship came in under the Golden Gate after he came home from Asia, and my mom went up to meet him. My sister and I just wanted to be hippies.

(my Aunt Ollie bought me this great dark lime green mini-dress, gold fishnet tights, and a pair of those white go-go boots -- however, i was NOT allowed to wear any of this to school, no matter how much i loved the whole outfit -- he did not want me to be a "fashion plate")

It was a romantic thing for them - my fathers ship came in under the Golden Gate after he came home from Asia, and my mom went up to meet him. My sister and I just wanted to be hippies.
