Apart from DJ Shangri-La, Ursula1000 does French specials occasionally - he visits Paris and brings back stacks o' wax. Otis Fpdder and Cat play a lot of French-language stuff, too, tho it may be more French-Canadian (they live in Montreal).

	1:40pm Listener Robert: I'm going to guess at the English meaning of "brandweerwagen". The "wagen" part is easy. "Weer" I'm going to guess is like German "wehr". Then "brand" I'm going to take literally as the same. So a "brand war wagon" -- a vehicle which engages in "brand war", i.e. competitive advertising. It must be one of those trucks whose sole purpose is to drag an advertisement down the road or park it in a prominent place. Now I'm going to see how close I came.

	1:47pm Listener Robert: Thanks, JT, but it looks like the "brand" part of the word still had to be accounted for, so I did some research. We do have an archaic word in English, "brand" for the same meaning it apparently has in Dutch, which means our word "firebrand" is redundant.
