On almost every show I’ve listened to during the marathon when someone talks about the archive they talk about an amazing live performance that happened on somebody’s show. Then they say: it’s in the archives. But the archives are HUGE!!! Has anyone ever made a list with links of at least some of the shows that get mentioned frequently? I think if such a list existed it would attract a lot more traffic too both WFMU and archives that probably haven’t been listened to in years? Thoughts?

	11:11am The Oscar: I first found out about WFMU from reading Songs in the Key of Z in high school, and I checked Beware of the Blog constantly in college, but I didn't start listening regularly until maybe 5 years ago when I had to leave my beloved record store job for a better-paying (but less fun) office gig. I wasn't sure I could handle the transition until I realized I could listen to WFMU. The first show I tuned into was one of Joe McGasko's Elektra Records specials, and I knew I was home.

On the apps, the only archives that are available are for programs that are on the weekly schedule, or programs that fill in for those shows on the weekly schedule. And then, those archives only remain available for four weeks. We do this to try to keep the apps from being too unwieldy and complex.

Programmed it into the radio on getting back to NYC, but reception tended to be pretty terrible for a long time, so we never became scientific listeners until we figured out a better antenna in the bathroom and then finally were like, "What do they mean, listen online? Can that be real?"

On the apps, the only archives that are available are for programs that are on the weekly schedule, or programs that fill in for those shows on the weekly schedule. And then, those archives only remain available for four weeks. We do this to try to keep the apps from being too unwieldy and complex.
