Heading out in a few minutes to walk into Manhattan and to the subway so I can get some goat ricotta cheese and greens from the Union Square greenmarket to make a slow-cook lasagna tonight.
The slow-cook homemade meat sauce is currently cooking. Using beef I got from the greenmarket.
Well, I'll be listening on my portable radio anytime I'm above ground, Joe!

Fun fact: when radio hit it big after '26 there was serious doubt the record industry would survive at all! Record sales were off hugely even before the Depression hit, and they didn't regain their 1926 peak until Ithink 1938!

And the men in the forest they ask it of me
Saying "How many strawberries grow in the salt sea?"
I answered them back with a tear in my eye
"How many ships sail in the forest?
… reminds me of a scene from All in the Family,
where Meathead has left Gloria, and Edith consoles her with, “don’t worry there’s other fish in the wood pile”.

She left me for Jesus
And that just ain't fair
She says, that he's perfect.
How could I compare
She says, I should find him
And I'll know peace at last
