@Niall - go for the discography. I'm not as familiar with Braintickets as I am with other German bands of their ilk. There's a lot to unwrap from that place and time. Might as well get it while you can.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:29pm
_Ike_:

I'm no expert on Brainticket but it's a WFMU favorite probably since 1971-ish, but definitely not all tracks are instrumental what with the especially big WFMU fave tracks with the screaming moaning lady.

@HH YEP. For a few times I had to go through the Oculus EVERY AM. It was when the N was out closest to me, so I had to get up at the ass crack of dawn in order to walk to the Astoria Blvd stop, crawl on a slow W train down to the WTC, walk through the monstrosity that is the Oculus, rush like hell to the PATH, and then run from the PATH to Toilet and Douche to make my 9 AM sign in.

Also gotta love how the "public/private partnership" literally stopped any and all material improvements once you got to the actual NYC subway station. As in the inside of the Oculus is spotless; get onto the subway and it's back to the cracked filthy platforms, etc.

Still the oddest tour pairing I've seen was when TFUL 282 opened for that 90s band Live ... in the 90s ... my little sister wanted to see Live and I wanted to see TFUL 282 so I took her. Sometimes I just randomly remember that.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:16pm

Live and Pearl Jam were considered "alternative" for a brief period in the 90s. It sounds strange now but putting Live with TFUL and PJ almost made sense back then. To a record label guy or concert promoter or whatever.

Jorts are still a thing? How about jeggings?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:12pm

The Jort Authority was formed by NJ Governor William Cahill as a lame duck executive order in late 1972. Like the Port Authority, it regulates activities in New Jersey and New York; unlike the Port Authority, it is managed and maintained solely by the state of New Jersey. It is unusual for a government body to assert legal and regulatory responsibility for jort-wearing outside of state jurisdiction, but this has been the case now for decades.
