' Patricia Anne Keenan (28 September 1968 – 14 January 2011) was an English musician and singer. She was the lead vocalist and founding member of the electronic band Broadcast, which she formed in 1995. The band released a total of five studio albums, including The Noise Made by People (2000), Haha Sound (2003), and Tender Buttons (2005), and earned a cult following.
Keenan died unexpectedly in January 2011 of pneumonia, shortly after she had contracted swine flu while completing a tour of Australia with Broadcast. '

Yerknow - I been watching every episode on its Half Century - & it's about much more than the Skits...

@Ike: The more of us in one place, the worse it gets.

Doctor Who, 20th cent. or 21st cent. series? Or are all of them pretty much the same?

It's all the same in my mind. Maybe the classic DW fans are even worse since some of them are extra-locked into the idea of the Doctor always being a white guy -- even though, to my mind, the Doctor was always a great role model for non-macho weirdos and freaks like me, so traditionalists being into it seems strange.

This makes me happy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:20pm
Matt from Springfield:

@Ike: The old-school 70s/80s geeks may be worse, they were already more socially isolated than the more mainstream fanbase of the revived series.

And yeah, old prejudices linger in older people. Even though The Doctor always "transformed", and was transformational anyway. I can see many outcasts and non-normative types relating to that.

@Matt: Arthur gave Jimi one of his first sideman jobs in a recording studio - if not thee first. As the 'original black hippie' - I'm sure Jimi found som things notable about Arthur.
