Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

I don't have a freshly broken body part, but a truck part.
Santa, Baby,
Just leave a ball joint under the tree...for me.
That's an ugly noisy moment when front right corner collapses and a mighty grindy scrape is heard. And shortly I and my budget make that same sound. Though -- I ain't kiddin' -- an unsolicited offer from a friend to pay for repair is my Christmas miracle. They are out there, the people who dispel some of the frequent discouragement and cynicism about humans and the world.

Neil Young once said, “Of all the players I ever heard, it's gotta be [Jimi] Hendrix and JJ Cale who are the best electric guitar players.” Guitarist Mark Knopfler, also claimed Cale as in influence on his art, even participating in the 2014 tribute album, The Breeze: An Appreciation of JJ Cale.Dec 7, 2016
