Chandu will keep going for a while, but Blackstone would be a good follow-up. I might cut Chandu off, if the story reaches a sort of natural "pause." The show would run for years if I just let it go.

Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 9:57pm

Radio seasons in the old days were funny. There was ALWAYS a show every week, but like with TV now, some shows would get canceled, and wouldn't last long. But on average, I've seen most shows run about 26 episodes a season, or 50-ish episodes a season, which offers a programmer six months or one years worth of shows. (This is for weekly dramas.)

@AR that reminds me of my favorite episode of Mysterious Traveler (only heard a few) where the old ladies think their nephew is trying to kill them so they kill him … or do they burn the house down? And then it turns out they were just paranoid. Oh shit. Spoilers.

I might have told this story on the radio before, but as a very young man, I was into Moonlighting, probably because I was already into detective stories, and Moonlighting was funny. When there was this new show that on that was gonna follow Moonlighting, called Max Headroom... well, of course I'm gonna tune in!

Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 10:16pm

I can't remember where the interest in detective stories came from, but certainly, Moonlighting was the synthesis of that interest, in a show that I was THERE for.

Avatar 10:23pm
ImaginosBuzzardoDesdinova:

↳ Austin Rich @10:19
There was a two part miniseries then there was a second miniseries V: the Final Battle, then they did a tv series in the 80s and a remake in the 00s

Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 10:33pm
Austin Rich:

The sound quality this week, on the source recording for this episode, is incredibly poor. I believe it came from a fan recording, and therefore, has a lot of less-than-stellar aspects. I did my best to try and EQ the audio, to improve it for this broadcast. Still... it's a bummer we don't have better recordings of these shows.
  10:34pm
Heather:

↳ Austin Rich @10:33
Sounds great from here!
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 10:35pm
Austin Rich:

Case in point: you can hear another radio show in the background of this recording. Most likely, a tape was used to capture this recording that had another recording on it, and the previous recording was not completely recorded over. This is the best we have.

Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 10:38pm
