Good evening, Sam! I've never known what to make of Buddy Guy. I've heard him play magnificently (like this), but when I've seen him live he did a lot of shucking and jiving.

there's now a pizza and grill at the location where we see the trailer...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:05pm

That's interesting, Zip. I've heard at least one live Buddy Guy album that I really liked. Live at the Checkerboard Lounge, 1979. But I've never actually seen him live myself.

Heyo
  10:16pm
Dean:

I dreamed last night of Uncle Michael hosting a performance at my house (so it seemed in the dream) by the Grateful Dead. Warren Haynes was among the performers? Anyway, everything went nuts. I was hoping to play *with the Dead!*, but we ran out of beer and UM decided to resort to videos of the band.

Hahahaha what a dream, Dean. Did the Dead walk when the beer ran out?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:19pm
Sam Segal:

Warren Haynes is a name I haven't thought about in a long time. Gonna have me going back to my old Gov't Mule CDs.
  10:21pm
Dean:

Yes, they did. I was so pissed off, because it was supposed to be a chill event, but we fucked up the logistics and everything went awry. Also, UM had shaved his beard...
  10:22pm
Dean:

The Haynes connection is easy. UM admires him, and I recently saw a tribute to Lynyrd
Skynyrd featuring Haynes and others in which I thought he didn't perform well.
  10:23pm
Dean:

Slash kicked ass, though.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:23pm

Initially misread that post to mean that Slash was also playing with the Dead in your dream.

Enoshima is awesome. It's a tiny island outside of Yokohama. There is a main street that goes up a mountain w/ tons of shrines and temples off the side streets until you get to the main temple on top of a hill. They have street festivals there on major shinto holidays that are hoot (i used to go there often when I lived over there).

Schiff's Bach...thank you. I just today picked up v.7 of Benjamin Alard's complete Bach keyboard works, and v.8 is already available. I plan to collect all of it. Alard performs on all varieties of early instruments: harpsichord, clavichord, organ.
