Rob hurt his foot and can't make it to the studio for the rest of the season unfortunately, we're all wishing him well and hope he's back soon!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:14pm
T GRavel:

From the book:
Today, peatlands cover about 3 percent of the planet’s land surface, but scientists estimate that they store twice as much soil carbon than all the world’s forests—which are about ten times as extensive. Just six years ago, researchers announced the discovery of peatlands in the Congo basin that store as much carbon as the burning of fossil fuels worldwide emits in three years.

He said..that's perfect...48 hours from now the pain win will subside.

He gave me only 6 painkillers...tylenol Codeine3's.

considering 92% of Florida was originally wetlands, it would be hard to restore all of them. Before the last group of GOP administrations, the state had been making good strides in restoring the Everglades, Okeechobee wetlands, and Kissimmee River, and the trans-FL barge canal. 16 years of GOP has stalled that progress...(pre-DeSantis GOP didn't actively stop it...)

I built an Angus Sailing RowCruiser. Its It has a sliding seat rower, a small cabin to sleep aboard, and is ketch-rigged.
I built it up on Lake Champlain and sailed it from there to Philly by way of NY. The night I spent in Newton Creek was the night Ida hit the city

It is. California is still full of interesting native plant life. You just have to bushwhack through parking lots to reach them.

in the summer of '95, I took my college gf and I canoed down a creek that went through private farms and a military base. It was drought, and it took forever as we kept on having to portage. she hated it as the biting insects ate her alive...

well, it depends on the sub(reddit). some are educational/informative, the one referenced (i used to mod) is educational w/ snark (sometimes comedic). others I'd stay away from. It depends on which sub(reddit) you go to(ie: askHistorians, askGeographers, askEtymologists, good! some others, not so good).
