Knave, for us in the Northern Hemisphere, Mid-Atlantic US of A, summer has been pretty, pretty, pretty good, if I may opine. Breweries and wineries are packed. Music venues booked with bands (Chats and Cosmic Psychos in October!) Cool start to the season. Not too many 33c+ days, only one derecho storm, and no cyclones...yet.

That's great to hear!
Ahh the Aussies are making it over your way huh!!?

I can still never remember the conversion between celsius & fahrenheit ... anyone got a good rule of thumb for this?

Pauly from Clifton:

↳ The Knave @7:25
Yup. Very excited as they're playing at a fine venue with good, cheap beer. Plus Dutch band Lewsberg will be playing a local tavern a month before.

there's no "easy" calculation. I just try to remember common temp equivalencies.. like body temp is 37/98.6, a very warm day is 30/85ish, a comfy room is 20/68, freezing is 0/32 and so on..

That's a good idea on how to remember the temperature comparisons

It's been a brutally hot summer for most of the US and it seems that Canada has been on fire for months. I am so ready for fall.

Midge is on point. There is a persistent heat dome over most of the middle of North America. Temps in excess of 40c or 105f for extended periods from Mexico North to Canada.

pp:

say it's 45C in South America, divide by 5 gives 9 then x9 = 81, plus 32 = 113F .... in winter !!!!!!
Avatar 7:59pm
neveract:

A formula that was always easier for me to remember is:
(C x 1.8) + 32 = F
(F-32) divided by 1.8 = C
Avatar 😈 Swag For Life Member 7:59pm
Olivia:

That was stonkin!
Avatar 8:01pm
neveract:

F is always going to be a larger number so you can remember which formula to use as you'll be ADDING 32
