“Studio After Dark” was a groovy little instrumental. And this “Spring Break“ song could be by the Surf Punks.

I have a bit of collection from my own past, friends and community, of all those formats. Which is nice in itself.
Avatar 2:36pm

I used to work in studios, using 10 bank tape deck set ups for duplication, laying out the tape covers (like the Andalucian Eyes cover x a million different variations) and cutting (by hand with ruler and blade) the covers from an A3 sheet, folding and putting the tapes together, printing sticker labels, sticking them on. For local self-released stuff, short tuns etc.

It was a lovely time...I also printed posters for local bands, did CD art and the same duplication/covers process for CDs. Copied DATs. It was also a rehearsal studio, so I knew everyone...Evan Dando used to come in when in Australia as his mates in Smudge rehearsed at our studion. STAR TURN!

👋 hello Miss Mei (& care-abouts): “Valeria demos” hits my ‘sweet spot’ within your wheelhouse of delights!
Which reminded me of another ‘demo goddess’ that you played on an early show that I’m questing for. So, short of archive digging - i thought I’d ask you first; Do you recall such a female demo songstress?
Follows are my Notes to self, (in order to find her voluptuous demo tunes) 👉👉👉
“Find Archive of that dramatic woman who has a 80s/90s cassette of singer-songwriter piano&vocals Demos worthy of Meatloaf & or Laura Nyro but beautifully & floridly Bad !?!”
