No, Jack Daniel's. Wtf of course drinking Jameson. I'm Irish, not a fucking basic who doesn't know the taste of smooth whiskey. Pouring another. I was named Erin for a reason.
Ha! Would have loved to have seen him,! I've got a car air freshener with him on one side and Esquerita on the other that I've had for like six years hanging from my rearview mirror! I have other stuff hanging too, but that thing is the oldest!😄
In NileRodgers’ memoir he talk about his first professional gig playing guitar at the Apollo. His first gig was playing behind Screamin Jay. He had no idea about Jay’s live show. When Jay came out of the coffin, Nile got so scared he dropped his guitar and ran off stage! Haha!
The best! And it was given to me by Bobby Trimble and his wife and son at my 50th bday party!😁. Bobby was drummer for Big Sandy and current drummer for Ugly Beats and a ton of other bands in Austin. Super sweet guy. Love them!
I saw Dexter perform at the Star Bar in the 90s and he broke a button on his pants so he had to keep widening and widening his stance while playing so his pants wouldn't fall down. For like 8 songs.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it didn't seem to be a real rockabilly event until one gal punched another. They usually ended up on the ground. Nothing serious, injury-wise.
Lol nah he's in dreamland. I outdrink the boys at night. Next morning? They're totally cool. I'm fucked. Spazz needs to send my employer a note. "My program is an emotional support animal (of sorts), please excuse her absence." This will likely be my last Spazz venture. Lol
Put that bottle down, tiger girl! I've been sober 20 years and have a freaking blast every day! You don't need that crap, especially with bad hangovers! I used to get them, too!
I'm not against pedals, per se. but Dexter's setup appeared to be a 12-foot straight cord. Lotta different sounds. Lotta different tones. Master Class stuff, if you could get it.
Hahaha!! It's a doozy! Saw Concrete Blonde and Bullets 'n Octane at two different bars,in two different cities when I lived in CA! Ended up with some freak coming to my house I picked up at Alex's bar in Long Beach. I was mortified! Was done finally!!!
Haha! This one took da cake!!! Trust me!! I don't even remember it - total blackout! Luckily my friend was driving and half took care of me that night!
I wrecked 3 cars by the time I was 21, two within blocks from my parents' house. Luckily never hurt anyone. Just totaled cars and wiped out two parked Lincolns at a neighbor's house in the last one! Those angels were watching over me back then!
Life is so much better for me sober now - actually happy!
Glad you quit! I can still go see shows. I have the ability to not be tempted! Once I was done, I was done! Desire gone! I give credit to the man upstairs, though
Me too. Quit that two years after I quit drinking. When I would go out to see shows after quitting drinking, I'd still want a cigarette when I had non-alcoholic beers. That's the only time I had smoked before, when I drank. So, having those fake beers for a couple years, I still wanted cigs. Was finally done with those, too! I was like why am I wanting these? I'm not even having a real beer!
It took me a little while to feel comfortable out without drinking. I drank fake beers for a while. I don't need those anymore either. I had to learn how to be social without alcohol. I have a great time now when I go out!
Hahaha! Mine aren’t to exciting other than wrecking myself without checking myself - haha! I was definitely addicted to smokes. It was physically harder to quit cigarettes than alcohol. I still miss smoking to this day.
Even though I miss it I’m glad I quit! Cigarettes and drugs were staring to creep back in before I quit drinking. But quitting drinking put the kabosh on that path.
I think Nicotine is worse than heroin. I haven't had a cigarette since 1992. Had a dream last night where I was smoking a cigarette. It embeds itself in your brain, just waiting...
Over 4,000,000 people held as property at the start of the American Civil War. (1861-1865) How many slave narratives do we have from that time? Less than you can count on two hands. The 1930’s saw interviews of the very old. Name a few from 1860. A handful only. Speaks to the power of the insitution
