Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:35pm

↳ djnogoodnick @12:31
NJ Transit sucks, but manageable. Driving on Saturday even worse, so we mass transit-ed it (2 NJ Transit trains, plus subway to sushi places near my daughter's apartment, and 3+ miles of walking...).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:37pm
Michael 98145:

Sounds like an epic trek!! I remember taking NJT up here from Philly--more cost-effective than Amtrak but painfully slow. That was over 20 years ago but i'm sure it's not gotten better, given this is America.

I've played this album before! They are beautiful interpretations of otherwise unlistenable music.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:29pm
WR:

↳ djnogoodnick @1:23
I think you are referring to Momentum, whom I was just searching for online info. I was referring to the Hubert Laws Rite of Spring.

I was curious if I could find who wrote the lyric to Naima that they were singing. Gave up.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:31pm
WR:

↳ djnogoodnick @1:23
or were you meaning the Laws plays the classical hits? Really, Brandenburg Concerto unlistenable? Oh, well, we all have different POV.
Avatar 1:33pm
djnogoodnick:

↳ WR @1:31
I would never call Coltrane unlistenable. Didn't his sister write the lyrics?
Avatar 1:34pm
djnogoodnick:

↳ djnogoodnick @1:33
Or maybe I'm thinking of Hancock and "Maiden Voyage"-- a different standard where the lyrics were added later.
