Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

I’m struck by how much of the beat — its throb — is carried by the bass. Very jazzlike, that.

Great lineup. Especially the king of the bass line Herbie Flowers who also did “Walk On The Wild Side” and “Rock On”

If I have the opportunity to assume a pseudonym, Woody Santolina will be a strong contender.

so i looked into it and it's a song, the b-side to the single. i guess they had nothing else ready? so they took the instrumental from their first(?) single, "jumping someone else's train", and called it "another journey by train".
'leat, that's what i'm gettin'

Jeff Moore:
As we here on the comment board probably know already, the original wasn't spoken by any of the Nazis usually attributed (Himmler or Goebbels or Göring) but was a line from a play by a different Nazi, Hanns Johst, the original text being:
"Wenn ich Kultur höre... entsichere ich meinen Browning!"
So, when this particular fascist character heard the word culture, he didn't do anything with a revolver (maybe Americans substituted that, USians do love their revolvers), he rather snicked off the safety catch on his Browning pistol.
The original manages to paint an even more effectively cold and evil picture, even (or maybe especially?) because the writer was aligned with the protagonist's evil views.
