My mom would send me out with a colander harvest them, to put in a fresh pot of beans. This was in the early 1960's when foraging was unheard of in suburban Los Angeles. "Don't tell the other kids we eat weeds!" she would whisper like a malediction to me. I still eat weeds every chance I get.

I have to keep a A LOT of meds on hand and really pay close attention to his body language, listening for wheezing and coughing. But, he is really easy to medicate, takes his asthma inhaler really well—does not hide or run away from it. He’s the best.

My mom would send me out with a colander harvest them, to put in a fresh pot of beans. This was in the early 1960's when foraging was unheard of in suburban Los Angeles. "Don't tell the other kids we eat weeds!" she would whisper like a malediction to me. I still eat weeds every chance I get.

I have to keep a A LOT of meds on hand and really pay close attention to his body language, listening for wheezing and coughing. But, he is really easy to medicate, takes his asthma inhaler really well—does not hide or run away from it. He’s the best.
