Good to be home? Did you have a chance to catch up with the Jersey Devil?

I hate Shitlsmd. In fsct,I started sneezing and coughing when I enterd the state, and I was pulled over by a cop, and one of my beloved raccoon friends was killed (the raccoon is in many video clips that I will soon post). I feel like a prisoner recaptured and returned to exile.

Is this show on weekly? Somehow I've been missing it, if so.

Yes, Marginwalker. By the way, I drove through Baltimore on my way to Atlanta, laughing because I am banned from the deathfest.

I saw King Diamondat the King's Theater in Brooklyn, making me reflect on a lifetime of metal.

I can imagine that is an interesting story.

Also, I'll start making this a regular hang from here on out!

I was given a ticket for 70,000 tons of Metal, worth $2,000, so I shall be sailing to Jamaica to experience ocean water I can see through, and to connect to fans from all over the world, and to see members of bands again after years away. Life can end at any time, so it is wise to say yes to opportunities before leaving.

Never really got that into King Diamond or Mercyful Fate. I know saying that about MF is like metal heresy, but I just don't enjoy his voice for more than a song at a time.
Avatar 12:34pm
Bill Zebub:

Marginwalker, metalis a realmin which denizens are free to like or dislike whatever they wish. No conformity here.
  12:36pm
Vlad:

I was also given a ticket to Jamaica.
Jamaica, Queens. :(

That's how I approach music as a whole. There's no 'bad' music, or guilty pleasures. There's music that you like, and music that's just not 'for you'. Even objectively poorly made music is 'good' to at least the person that created it.

Like what you like, let others like what they like, and no one needs to give anybody any shit for liking something that doesn't line up with their tastes.

I do like feedback on the songs I play here so that I can discover if my efforts have results

↳ Song: "Mourner's Lament" by "Candlemass"
This is a band I was surprised to find that my son discovered on his own. That's one of the things I love about having kids, is watching them discover and get enjoyment out of music, etc.
Avatar 1:34pm
Bill Zebub:

I had assumed that everyone in metal knew about Candlemass, but I met many who were unaware.

Yeah, it's not like they're underground or anything, it's just that he's 19 and exploring outside the bounds of more commercially successful artists.

My son does that sometimes; there's a record shop in town that he frequents - Celebrated Summer; check it out if you're in Baltimore! They sell used shirts and jackets, and he'll come home with a shirt from a band he's never heard of simply because he likes it.

Thank you for tuning in. Tell others. Soon,I will have an interview with Dr.Richard Carrier about... well, let's just say it's about something I deride on my shows, and we find out more about the antisemitism of a particular religion and how it was used to justify abuses. It is fascinating
