My niece, along with her neighbors and many thousands of beings in LA lost their lives, homes or hovels, tents, homeless shelters, habitats and, well everything. I am thankful that many have made it out alive. Still, the devastation is of a scale that is hard so large it is to comprehend. And, despite 'round the clock efforts, the fires are still burning.

It is house, only 30 years old. It is in very lovely woodland. It is however also vulnerable to fires. Now the ground is wet after a lot of rain last year. But that will become dry later in the year.
