We saw Andrey Rubleyev at Film Forum years and years ago, and it had original subtitles from when it was first released. It was during the scene when the Mongol(?) chieftain rides up and says "I would have been here sooner, but I stopped to sack a small village along the way! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!" that my Russian-speaking friend Dan leaned over to me and said, "You're really not missing much in translation."

My brothers and I were excited to see “Smokey and The Bandit 2” in the theaters because it was the first time we went without parental supervision. We were excited about all the swear words and car chases that were coming our way. Then, just before the movie Father Dennis from our parish showed up and sat an aisle or two in front of us. My heart sank because I thought he might tell my folks we saw a PG movie ha ha. I’d be cast to hell as a sinner
