I first saw Eraserhead in a packed, over-sold-out theater at midnight on David Lynch's birthday with a friend from high school in the mid 2000s and it thoroughly scrambled our brains. We just walked back to his house at 2 in the morning in mostly silence.

I went to a pretty cool TM event with Lynch, Donovon, and Mike Love, where Donovon performed and Lynch spoke about TM. Mike Love, of course, had to mime eating a banana as he sang on "Mellow Yellow"

One Lynch thing I think should be well known is Dumbland, it's almost a companion to Burton's Stainboy for being kind of minimal animation on blinding white backgrounds, but one of the most deliberately grating things he ever did. It's great.

Thank you! Kitten Sparkles! Dawn! and all you Glambient Listeners. I've been reading as well as listening but too many conflicting feelings to write anything coherent so I abstained. Eraserhead and Blue Velvet are major touchstones for me. Have not seen Blue Velvet in decades. Want to revisit.
