The Radio Is Broken is a three-hour spelunk through the canyons and fissures of humanity's collective unconscious. It sounds as if a field recording of the Culture Industry were a sonic juggernaut barreling down a rickety track—except that tunnel ahead is just painted onto a sheer cliff wall. With occasional forays into what might pass for "normal" music. Prerequisite journey: Cratedigger's Lung

I was so lucky that I got to take in all 18 eps of "Twin Peaks: The Return". Saw the first 11 on TV, then had to download the rest online. With Lynch, anything was possible. And it was always unexpected.

I'm sure a good number of you out there have seen those St. Jude spots
that run on TV on occasion. There's a particular one that runs to infomercial length. One of it's spokesperson "poster boys" was a dusty blonde fellow who appeared to be an adult. Every time I see him, I couldn't help thinking I'd seen him somewhere before.
Well, only until recently did it finally occur to me. Remember the tap-dancing midget that shows up occasionally in the Red Room scenes (like in the header photo above)? Yes...IT'S THE SAME GUY! So now I'm left asking myself "Why didn't it occur to me sooner? I should've spotted the resemblance right away!".

I generally only hop on the mic and apologize if I'm having a technical difficulty and it dishonors the artist. Like what happened on Monday with the Candi Staton track because CD2 was misbehaving.

I don't know if I see much Lynchian in Naked Lunch, anymore than an influence on being Cronenbergian generally. Not the way I see Beau Is Afraid as being a full-on attempt by Ari Aster at aping Charlie Kaufman, anyway.
