The way I see our firm continuing to help is our core businesses of fiduciary duty cases (against banks, investment houses, etc as well as online security breaches), environmental class actions, and my favorite and the current wheelhouse I'm in: Suing the fuck out of Google, Amazon, FB, et al for assorted privacy and data use breaches. Currently working on one of the zillion cases pending against Amazon.

My upstairs neighbor has extreme noise sensitivity and I replaced my ceiling fan with a newer model because she claimed that my old unit--that she never complained about over the past 10 years--was making her bedroom vibrate. OTOH she literally had brain cancer and as someone with my own TBI I have great sympathy for her. I didn't want to take her money and she wouldn't take no for an answer so the Astoria Food Bank got $200 from her.

	12:43pm David (in London): ↳ Carmichael @12:37 I saw Gillian Welch and David Rawlings in 2011 or so at Hammersmith Odeon, which is a massive venue here in London: just her singing, him playing guitar, standing on this small patch of carpet on a huge stage. At one point Rawlings stopped playing and she stepped onto the hardwood part of the stage and did a folk dance, alone in a white spotlight. It was utterly mesmerising. I remember thinking that with 5,000 people in a huge city, this was just as entrancing as it would have been in a cabin of 4 people in the 1800s.

And more recently: When the Orange Anus was elected the FIRST time, about 2 weeks later, there was a spate of actions against illegal immigrants selling food near the subways out in Corona and Jackson Heights. Usually the cops just told the arepa ladies et al to move along. This time around they actually threw the food into the gutter. "Established" vendors with a following -- who had larger setups -- had entire grill sets/portable flattops overturned, and again, all of the food was thrown into the gutter. Not seized and put in food banks. Just thrown into the filthy slush in the street.

At one point Rawlings stopped playing and she stepped onto the hardwood part of the stage and did a folk dance, alone in a white spotlight. It was utterly mesmerising. I remember thinking that with 5,000 people in a huge city, this was just as entrancing as it would have been in a cabin of 4 people in the 1800s.

"Established" vendors with a following -- who had larger setups -- had entire grill sets/portable flattops overturned, and again, all of the food was thrown into the gutter.
