Ground floor?! I tried! I was talking to K&M about it early on. We just didn't understand the right order in which to do things after not doing it for 24 years.

And that's a misconception of the ethos of punk. The sloppiness should be precise, y'know what I mean?

Flat Earth, healing crystals, etc. going to the right is relatively recent -- Steve Bannon worked hard to win over all those people in 2016. John Ganz has written a lot about this.

I have found Cheech & Chong records in thrift stores, but never found one with the very large rolling paper that was supposed to come with it. I remember those movies were quite funny. I remember when they put hydraulics on a van and tried to make it a low rider... that was funny as hell!

i found one in a used book store in excellent condition, rolling paper and all, for a buck or 2 in the 90s. i never got around to listening to it, forgot about it, found it, sold it for a nice chunk of change last year. maybe i'll never hear it.

Only in the sense that Faust is from Germany and the piece read was in French . It’s sounded like Anatolia Eye Porcelluzzi on that track .. reading the French poem.

Well. Faust are nominally German but one of the key figures in the band is Jean Herve Peron, who is French! He is a great, eccentric character and quite the poet, known for reciting his work on many records of theirs. The band name has nothing to do with Goethe, btw, it is also German for fist, hence their debut having an x ray of a fist on it. :)

Leonard Cohen of course, wrote a song about his fling with Janis Joplin at the Chelsea hotel. Also Dee Dee Ramone lived at the Chelsea Hotel for many years! I still need to read his autobiography, which seems to be at least somewhat fictionalized.
