As a multi-instrumentalist/ composer specializing in harp (not harmonica), guitar, electric bass, and mandolin, while dipping his toes into anything with keys, strings, or skins Jesse Sparhawk has toured nationally and internationally as accompanist and band member with Greg Weeks, Timesbold, and Marissa Nadler. Besides this, Sparhawk is an amazing guitarist, highlighted on his solo guitar album, "Palmaria Palmata." A second about-to be released volume of the Imaginational Anthem will feature his original composition "Light Cycle / Tetrahedra." The compilation is set for release the next day on Tompkins Square Records. Jesse dropped by WFMU to wow us with a live performance. |
