Midnight Matinee Presents: Planet of the Monkees
(More info...)
Imagining an alternate version of the 1960s where, instead of being ruled by giant insectoid Beatles, the world was under the spell of four mop-topped simians. Featuring hits like Hey Hey Doctor Zaius, The Left Brain of Landon, and Another Pleasant Spaceship Journey, along with lesser-known gems like Your Grizzled Antihero and It Won’t Be The Same With Monkees. So get your filthy paws over to WFMU at midnight on November 23 (known to some as the Friday overnight) for: Planet of the Monkees. Hosted by John Schnall.

Der Fuhrer: A Rock Opera
Harvest
Surprisingly this was not a success. After Tommy and Jesus where else would you look for a hot, rock opera property? The good people at Harvest decided to go back to WWII and instead of say "Churchill: A Rock Opera" or "The General: A Rock Opera Based On The Life Of George Patton", someone came up with this bright idea: A group of British "Hair" rejects, the rise of Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party and voila! you have something that sounds like the Polyphonic Spree goosestepping into the hearts of every young record buyer in Britain. Oh to be in the marketing department when this was announced. Thank you Greg Winter.
