I don't expect this information to sway your belief that the rich are looting society, but what the hell... the rich pay NO taxes? Hey, you know what might make an interesting topic perhaps. Discuss who, exactly, is rich and what their "fair share" is. Many politicians love to say we could solve our fiscal problems if only the rich would pay their "fair share" but they always decline to define that.
I think most people, even most upper income people, don't think of themselves as rich. The "rich" guy is always somebody who makes 30% or 40% beyond what you make! Anyhow, if you don't think they're paying their fair share, that's fine but it would be an interesting exercise to try to stake out a definition of what their fair share is.
