Listener comments!

  12:14am
Mike Sin:

I have a feeling this show is gonna be just as good as DJ Therese looks... Essentially, expect some hott programming.
  12:16am
Therese:

Aw! You flatter me, my friend.
  12:18am
a.:

I'm not sure how to feel about YACHT - they have a neat post-punk feel to them but they also seem like the sort of hip-kid stuff that skinny pale suburban kids who live in williamsburg listen to when they're pretending to be artists

no such dilemma with zola jesus though
  12:29am
Ralphine:

I recently saw a trivia question on TV that I hope someone might know: Immortalized by Bob Marley, what nickname was given to the 10th Cavalry Regiment of the U.S. Army?
  12:30am
Therese:

I will never hear the end of that, will I?
  12:37am
Ralphine:

When was that episode shot?
  12:40am
Therese:

About 5 years ago, I think?
  12:42am
Ralphine:

I missed an $8,000 question on Who Wants to be a Millionaire ten years ago, and I still hear about it occasionally.
  12:48am
Charles Van Doren:

I had a similar experience once.
  12:51am
Therese:

Stempel STILL won't shut up about that "Marty" question.
  12:53am
Charles Van Doren:

I thought "On the Waterfront" was the *right* answer.
  12:53am
Ralphine:

I think Quiz Show may be the only movie in which I could tolerate Ralph Fiennes.
  12:53am
Richard from Venezuela:

Greetings Therese and all the listeners.
  12:56am
Ralphine:

Now that I look at IMDb, there are a few others, but not many.
  12:56am
Skirkie:

Yo, just got electricity back not 10 minutes ago.
  12:57am
Old Dirty Stempel:

Big ups for the Stemp joke, T.
  1:24am
Skirkie:

So..That Courtney Love took lot of pills eh?
  1:30am
Therese:

Skirkie- I felt rather weird & invasive looking at those and at all the notes/faxes/etc... Though I was surprised by how NORMAL those pills were. Xanax? Adderall? I'll bet half the people at the record fair were prescribed the same things.
  1:36am
Skirkie:

Me, I'm rather nervous about taking anything, so most of those medications seemed foreign to me. But the letters and such? I couldn't.

Unrelated: I was musing about what Hemingway would think about that Metallica song.
  1:37am
Therese:

Ha! I think Papa Hemingway would think the song went on too long.
  1:41am
Richard from Venezuela:

I just checking in again but, congratulations for beat the goal. 100%
  1:42am
Skirkie:

Yeah, just drop the first 2 verses or so and it should be fine.

Blerg, this is so past my bedtime.
  1:45am
Therese:

Thank you, Richard!

Skirkie, get some sleep!
  1:45am
A:

I've been taking Adderall everyday for the last... 5 or 6 years. It helped me completely turn my life around, from being a slacker-lowlife in highschool. Which is maybe a weird thing to say about taking a pill.... But it's the truth.

Adderall allows me to balance the amount of importance I place on everything I think about, see and interact with. Before everything was lost in a total animal soup of time, where every-single-element-of-reality warranted 150% of my brain's focus. BUT THAT'S JUST ME! Anyway, really good set tonight, Therese.
  1:48am
musikoff:

always good to tune in during a Slint song
  1:49am
Therese:

Mr. Musikoff! Thanks again for your panel-saving work at the Radiovision Festival!
  1:52am
musikoff:

my pleasure, Therese! I'm gonna send those illos to the other members of the Origins panel right now actually.
  1:56am
Therese:

A.- I know exactly how you feel
  2:02am
Skirkie:

You know the comment wasn't really what the pills were but the amount of pill bottles there were. (at the record fair, btw) It was approximately a 3 ft core box 60% filled with Courtney Loves' empty pill bottles.

Which seems like a lot when presented in front of you, but thinking about it now I suppose it's nothing in comparison to what an average person may require in a normal span.
  2:09am
alberto:

mmmm...mudhoney :)
  2:18am
alberto:

carla! she's got the best voice!
  2:20am
Therese:

She is amazingly creepy.
  11:45am
Cronin:

I think you did very well on Cash Cab. And I am proud of you for not knowing who the friends of Bill W are.
