Listener comments!

Destroit:

Hello Rich, and everyone. Ease me off of that YLT high buddy and send me drifting.
  12:14am
some other guy:

in the spirit of the impossibly tough act to follow that you are following, can we make requests? ;)
  12:18am
Marmalade kitty:

  12:26am
Destroit:

Oh, and hello Marmalade!
  12:26am
Ike:

The map does not cover all pledgers! Pledgers must CHOOSE to add a spot on the map. (Right?) And if they're actually overseas but their mailing address is in the U.S. (like the dude in Nicaragua) then they can choose to put the dot on the map overseas, but often don't.
  12:27am
Danne D:

Thanks for pledging Felix!!!

@Rich and Daniel: Felix is a first-time pledger who wanted to know how to go about doing it :)

@Felix if you are here - you can send questions to Joe McGasko who is the FMU listener services person: link here: http://wfmu.org/email.php?id=235&return=%2Fmailus.php
  12:27am
Ralphine:

I thought that the dot was automatic for web pledges, but you can choose to make a comment.
  12:27am
minneapolis:

@Ike: right. There are a whole ton of pledgers here, but only a handful on the map.
  12:28am
Destroit:

Thumbs up to Felix.
  12:28am
minneapolis:

P.S. Maybe the dot is automatic...
  12:31am
osvi:

D. Blumin:

you WON, Felix!!! Catbirds & Cardinals!!!
  12:53am
Danne D:

You win the Dan Melchior CD - Catbirds and Cardinals. The song "Summer In Siberia" was the first song that Rich played tonight and is on that CD.

You'll receive it along with the swag you are entitled to once you have paid your pledge. It does take some time after the marathon for FMU to process all of the swag shipments.
  12:53am
felix:

Oh A Dan Melchior Cd!!
Thanx Very much!!
Im sure i'll never forget about!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:56am

Robert:

How late do the phone slaves stay up & at it?
  1:03am
Danne D:

@Robert they try to have phone slaves for all shifts. In the late late hours, though, sometimes the co-host gets the honors.

I actually phone-slaved for Rich on, I think, a 2a-6a shift and there was a long lull and then suddenly at like 4:30am there were 5 calls all at once - it was awesome :)
  1:05am
Danne D:

This is prime-time to try and win prizes, I have to say :)
  1:10am
Andrew Waterloo:

It is, good to have a few $15 pledges lying around to pick up some cool extras

Nashville Noah from Coffee Break FOr Heroes...:

No damage, stayed in the basement for a few hours, listened to Yo La Tengo. Still real windy out though....my first scarry Nashville moment.
  1:26am
Danne D:

Glad you are okay, Noah! How's Nashville treating you otherwise?
  1:27am
Destroit:

James Pants is great, that whole Peanut Butter Wolf thing is good. Blumin sooo wants to hump a speaker right now, gyrating to that 909 grind.
  1:27am
Nashville Noah from Coffee Break FOr Heroes...:

LOVE LOVE Nashville Danne!! It's a SUPER place, lots of great people, great food, and cheap!

Danne D:

Hanging in there. Enjoying the marathon - this is always my favorite time of the year. I have 2 volunteer shifts left - for Terre tomorrow and for Jeff Sarge Sunday morning (though I'll probably get there a bit early for Keili's show).

I hope we get to hear you again around these parts soon, that'd be great!
  1:32am
Nashville Noah from Coffee Break For Heroes...:

I've heard nothing but good things about Nashville for years, thanks Noah for still confirming. They even have a nasty hockey team (gaustad is huge, have fun with that guy). Always plotting to relocate, and Nashville is in my list.
  1:34am
Danne D:

:) that's why they have it as a prize - only the best prizes for Rich :)
  1:35am
Danne D:

Take care Noah! Glad you're doing well. I'm actually off to bed soon. Keep pledging and supporting great radio :)
