That said, the 1979 Quadrophenia is actually a strong interpretation with a good amount of depth.
But, the themes explored in Quadrophenia are well-worn and timeless. Comapre the English "Quadrophenia" to the US "Saturday Night Fever."

Best time travel flick I've seen in recent years was a small Spanish film called TIMECRIMES. Creepy and odd with a very unlikeable protagonist. If you read science fiction, you can't beat Barrington Bayley's FALL OF CHRONOPOLIS for pulpy time travel excess...
