listener james from westwood:

Avatar 7:05pm
jk:

Hey James and Doug! So glad to be back, wish I could say that I was more prepared. I was at the apple store at 4pm today, had to install all software from scratch. still hopeful my old files will be not destroyed
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:07pm
Doug Schulkind:

Jesse, did I splain to you how to use the Marathon Console to see the names of pledgers (like LISTENER JAMES FROM WESTWOOD, for instance)??
  7:08pm
listener james from westwood:

was the old machine an apple? does the apple store do hard drive restoration jobs? either way, hope it can be brought back from the netherworld!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:10pm
Dervish:

Could this track be any slammin'-er?
Avatar 7:10pm
jk:

ah hey, I think I just figured it out. Thanks James!! Course I'll also on the mic
Avatar 7:11pm
jk:

yeah, it's an apple but they couldn't figure out right away whether it's savable
now it's a new apple, which is pretty sweet consolation
Avatar 7:12pm
jk:

hey Dervish, great song but I think it's pretty much the dougie rhythm, which makes it hard to play sometimes
  7:13pm
listener james from westwood:

glad to help out. i dug the concept behind this show from day one, and your solo shows are fierce. and agreed w/ dervish on that last track.
  7:46pm
listener james from westwood:

hey, fine former k/k co-hosts out there; come on down and pledge! keep fabulous freeform flowing!
Avatar 7:54pm
jk:

Thanks James! Probably doesn't help that I've been off for two weeks. We'll get there!
  8:09pm
listener james from westwood:

whoops, think we got booted to the regular drummer stream there.
Avatar 8:10pm
jk:

well, looks like the brand new computer froze. sorry about that!
  8:10pm
listener james from westwood:

there we go, back into k/k!
Avatar 8:14pm
jk:

ah, no! I'm so sorry for the rocky connection
Avatar 8:21pm
jk:

oh this is lousy, I'm trying to reconnect but keep getting kicked off. Providence isn't wired for the same kind of internet...
  8:24pm
listener james from westwood:

might be something doug has run into in the past
Avatar 8:27pm
jk:

I wonder if someone in the building jacked my internet. I can't connect at all suddenly. The rest of the web seems to work, oddly.
Avatar 8:35pm
jk:

thanks Bella!
  8:36pm
listener james from westwood:

i think we've got you back!
Avatar 8:37pm
jk:

thanks for hanging in there, James! We've got a 5 minute streak going
Avatar 8:44pm
jk:

this show is kind of a microcosm of my last two days
  8:49pm
listener james from westwood:

at least you got the computer dealt with. my backup box until recently was a rickety 8-year-old mac w no upgrade path and a surly demeanor.
Avatar 8:52pm
jk:

yikes! it's hard to underestimate the value of backups. I had most things backed up but not all, not the smartest idea in the world and now Im paying for it
Avatar 8:52pm
jk:

ah well, the little things...
  8:59pm
listener james from westwood:

thanks mightily for the show, and sorry about the techno-craziness!
Avatar 9:03pm
jk:

thanks James! thanks everyone who is silent!
all will be better next week,
have a great week!
