Hi Aaron! There's an amazing version of You'll Never Walk Alone by Roy Hamilton.

If you can find David Lee Roth covering it, let me know Ken...or maybe just keep that to yourself

Ye gods! A Jones show with an actual live playlist on the computer box!

I mean, no song info - that would be a bridge too far - but live IBJ comments on the actual official WFMU playlist for the show is a remarkable and probably actually good thing.

On facebook Johnny Angel of Boston's Blackjacks fame is talking about what a horrible song Wooden Ships is by CSN and Paul Kantner- somehow fitting for this theme- hey can I have some of your purple berries?

Ken From Hyde Park:

I am here. Good songs today, like always.

When I'm listening to actual radio (not inetrnet), here in central BK I have to guess if I'm hearing FMU on 91.1, or the Flatbush Haitian pirate station that blasts from 90.9. I'm guessing the Haitian station doesn't use a lot of bagpipe instrumentals.

Robert:

Burnsie's description of maggots is correct. My friend Nancy's dog Flash had a maggotty wound when I visited.

I smelled an amine smell (like rotten fish) coming from Flash, which I took to be putrefaction, a bad sign, but Nancy thought nothing of it, saying he just needed a bath. But eventually I saw maggots in the bathroom and finally traced them to a wound on Flash she hadn't known was there. Then a stay with the vet. The maggots are harmless -- and can even be beneficial -- but a sign of a putrefying wound, which is of course dangerous.

Getcha Real Good.
  2:08pm
Ken:

Got 90.1 back up on the backup audio circuit because our phone lines here at the studio came back this AM. But the higher fidelity T1 circuit for 90.1 fm is still down. The backup we're on right now at 90.1 is pretty fragile, so dont be surprised if it goes dead for 5-10 minutes from time to time until we get the T1 gear replaced.

Remember when the Canadians attack us, (and they will someday!!) we, in the WFMU listening area, will bear the brunt of the attack.

Not true Mark, up in 90.1fm territory you have lots of mountains and forests to hide out in, to wage guerrila attacls on the Canuck forces, Red Dawn-style. PATRICK SWAYZE Red Dawn by the way..
