Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:56pm
listener james from westwood:

my high school math teacher came down to the chemistry class in an idle moment to give the chem teacher shit, in the middle of a lesson no less, about the committee of public safety being in the right on the lavoisier decap count. the chem teacher then returned fire by expounding on the uselessness of calculus. very odd. ironically, i later impressed the math teacher by knowing tom lehrer's whole "elements" song, but prob b/c lehrer was a math prof more than any sort of periodic-table affinity my teacher might've had.
  1:57pm
Josh Weinstein:

You're welcome and well put, Jeff. Maybe with a little payola we can make Moto Grosso Feio a hit!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:07pm

Say WHAT now, Listener James. So your math teacher was a fan of both Tom Lehrer and the Reign of Terror?

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:45pm
listener james from westwood:

i think my math teacher was more a fan of getting under the chem teacher's skin. which was actually quite easy. he used to return lab books by flinging them at us from the front of the room. if he missed, he yelled at us for risking damage to the glass cabinets along the back wall. (did i mention this was a parochial school yet, or would that be redundant?)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:50pm
