Favoriting Bryce: Playlist from October 11, 2013 Favoriting

I never miscue a record. I am punctual, well-prepared, and dislike clutter. Outgoing and helpful, I'm always appropriately dressed. I do not behave erratically and have excellent penmanship. My CD's never skip, and I am in good health. I like all the notes, in any order.

Hey Sem Chumbo, everyone in NS is sickeningly nice. Also, you need a mad scientist to build you a weather-controlling machine to make it stop fucking raining so much. :P

Stefica, whenever it stopped raining, it was beautiful. Not knowing much about Peggy's Cove, for some reason I expected it to be a tourist trap full of strip malls, but instead it was a weird little paradise of bizarre rock formations and strange purple vegetation.

I haven't gone rekkid hunting in Detroit for close to 3 years. Need to hit up Peoples, Stormy and UHF in Royal Oak one of these days. Usually, when I'm in that neck of the woods my focus has been getting all messed up on Lebanese, Ethiopian and Greek food. And Pizza. And Motor City Brewing.

Brian, ITA. Great middle eastern food.
The non-political cooks from the old Le Shish now run Charlie's Mediterranean Restaurant in Pittsfield Township. Their pita/hummus/grapeleaves wrap is so good that my grapeleaf hating husband and I were fighting over the last bites.

Stormy Records! Back in the day, I gorged myself at LeShish, and waddled over there. There was also a kickass coffeehouse that had Turkish coffee.

Tim, you might want to check out La Pita in Dearborn. The chef was on FoodTV making a Lebanese dish I had never heard of - malamiekh? - which is a chicken, rice and rehydrated mallow leaf stew. It looked yummy.
