Listening to the 24K windows stream and it sounds like AM radio. Good for the Chakachas track.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:14am
Guido (Cologne):

@Rabbit
What is American Yeh Yeh please?
Know the term "Yeh Yeh" only as a name for the French take on 60ies beat?

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:01am
Ken From Hyde Park:

I saw Mama's Boys in concert in 1984 or 1985.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:01am
Guido (Cologne):

... well, I could start again, any time.
Exhibitions are a fustrating matter.
... though ... yes ... I paint my guitars actually,
but that is a completely different stayle.
Avatar 8:06am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- checkin' it & - that is Fine Art alright Guido !
- I don't know much , but it seems not typical or derivative to me. Interesting style.
Avatar 8:07am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- any pictures of the guitars to check ?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:14am
Guido (Cologne):

Thank you Rabbit!
The cover in the middle of my profile-picture is one of them.
Actually the pic was taken by holding the guitar over the scanner.
I will take photos hopefully quite soon.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:17am
Guido (Cologne):

... just see ... hardly anything recognizable.
Expect something "decorative".
Avatar 8:18am
PKNY:

@KFHP - I saw the Mama Boy's at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center, opening for Ratt, pretty sure it was '84.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:23am
davex:

Guido: Yes, I know what you mean. There are a lot of independent exhibitions and galleries around here, though, especially in former industrial spaces
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:26am
common:

yea! the fly. Nice!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:29am
Guido (Cologne):

The thing is, you have visitors the exhibition openings and maybe on the closings. But hardly visitors on the duration itself. Not talk about sales. The other pity is about artist driven exhibition-spaces, they often suffer from bad presentation and unlucky mix of styles, which pulls the overall impression to outside visitors down. Cologne is overcrowded with artists.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:32am
Guido (Cologne):

WIRE - yeaahh!
George Baker Selection - MOR-mega-sellers in Europe
Were they big in the US?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:39am

Marty McSorley:

i know i played thie chrome last week but its been in my head all week its really way too good
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:42am
Guido (Cologne):

This Chrome-Track is about to become a real hit among the WFMU-DJs, isn't it?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:45am
davex:

Genau! Farms were all organic in the 20s of course. ... And I know what you mean about exhibition sales, etc. Have seen a couple of good ones recently, though. The low overhead here in Leipzig makes it easier, I'm sure.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:46am
Guido (Cologne):

I'm an old classic period Chrome-fan.
Actually I need it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:48am
Guido (Cologne):

I still visit exhibitions.
I try hard to focus on the individual works an appreciate them as units.
This helps to discover the qualities again.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:50am
davex:

Well I definitely agree with that. After a few images it all becomes a blur to me as well.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:50am
Marcel M:

Shaquille O'Neal? haaaaaaaaaa
Avatar 8:52am
Marty McSorley:

I own more Shaq records than any other artiest no joke
Avatar 8:53am
PKNY:

Scary thing is, I'd rather hear Shaq on the mic than most of the peoplethat are out today. And that's sad.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:54am
Marcel M:

Can't say I disagree with that
Avatar 8:55am
PKNY:

@Marty - how much money did you have to spend to amass your Shaq collection? I expect not much...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:56am
davex:

Great track to finish the show - thanks Marty!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:59am
Guido (Cologne):

Thanks to visits from swiss "gigge-Musik-Bands" serving as a modeleven Cologne street brass bands are becoming better. CU
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:00am
