was watching the CBS sunday morning show which was devoted to the assassination. i was only 4 when it happened but it's one of my earliest memories and remember being terrified that the adults around me were shaken. when you're a little kid you need parents and teachers to be rocks, but they are only people after all.

Oswald was no idiot, as I was saying last night. He was a bit of a nutter but he was a possible Russian agent and total true believer Communist among other things. He also supposedly tried to assassinate some US general retired a bit before the JFK shooting. God only knows....but the whole thing is just
beyond bizarre but Oswald knew what he was doing in
all instances. He wasn't totally off his head....I mean, he had major political and insurrectionist motives and tendencies.

- share the Anniversary month (my B-Day) w/ this

- A couple points I dwell on :
... of course JFK - the very Icon of the Youthful New Frontier - was actually quite ill - no stranger to facing death - on cortisone & steroids & painkillers - & a bit Reckless.
- & Jack & Robert Kennedy pretty much were in the business of making enemies right & left - so in a sense, it would've been stranger if it *didn't* happen!
...& I just want someone to slowly & credibly explain the whole Jack Ruby thing to me - just for a start - ?!?...

People just have a hard time accepting that a loser can kill the president on his lunch break with a mail order rifle that he bought using a fake name. This is America where anything is possible.

LovecraftDude888:

I don't, I'm saying it was absolutely Oswald. But his whole history is like, suspect.....if you read enough about his bio. His whole Russian sojourn, etc. C'mon.

lovecraftdude - i had a 'glass lined' thermos, vintage picnic plaid and all. it got dropped and dented and the plastic top came off. it was trash so i took it apart and it was a glass ball mason jar, surrounded by fiberglass insulation and in the metal body. the plastic screw top was a press fit into the mason jar.

sorry:

I don't think it's too crazy that gloves would disappear or that a man could walk into a building and up stairs without leaving clean finger prints. It's not crazy to think that a lot of that evidence was smudged or destroyed in the confusion afterward.
