Hi Droll, i didn't get to hear DJ Williams Kraut-und-Progaganza live the other night, I'm looking forward to checking out the archive. Good review from you?

It was uberkraut. I didn't realize that was the second in a series, the first one is on my to do list: www.wfmu.org...

It was three years between episodes so I don't think this is going to turn into a regular format. Plus, the station has rules about which prog is cool, and in what quantities...

Howdy Nick name,und all.
Superb program so far, but i'm not sure how long i'll be here for.

My copy of generic flipper has no sex bomb on it. I have that on a cd comp, but i think it's different.

Apparently that was Heitkotter's only solo album, he cut it at home with a 16-year-old on bass. And he's still institutionalized with schizophrenia, while his now-legendary album has been re-released. Hm.

Sounds good! 91.1 is A-OK tonight. I've found a spot for the antenna where I don't get too much bleed-over from the scum-sucking Haitian pirate dirtbags. (DESTROY ALL 90.9 PIRATES THAT MESS WITH WFMU! ARRR, MATEY.)
  1:08am
P-90:

@Ike: you've probably answered this before, but why doesn't the FCC shut the Haitians down? Sounds like they've got a pretty strong signal cutting into the official FM band?

Rockland County's dope.

Ike:

@P-90: The NYC FCC enforcement division is understaffed, from what I've read. There are tons of these pirates in Flatbush, the Bronx, and other areas, presumably overwhelming them. Also the fines aren't remotely harsh enough. The FCC has visited the Haitians before and hit them with fines, but it doesn't stop them. They need to seize equipment, but for some reason, they don't. Maybe that requires more coordination with actual police.

okay i give up, for the moment. I have a copy of generic flipper from the early 80s that does not have sex bomb on it. I'm not home, cannot look at it- and cannot remember what comes after "living for the depression",which means the album likely closes with that track.
It's not a boot, but it may be from a small country.
...i find it odd that i find no info about this on the web.

Droll:

c, All the releases in Discogs close with Sex Bomb and appear to be the same tracks in the same order. If it's a boot why would they go through the trouble to leave the last song off? More desirable with missing tracks?

Greetings from Belfast! Really enjoying this show so far, especially that Hydravion d'argent song. :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:34am
coelacanth:

well it does seem quite odd. . . i have a cassette tape from the same time period with sex bomb on it,rec.from Paul Cavanough's show (WFMU).My habit,so not to waste tape, was to edit off all songs that i own on vinyl...So i'm reasonably sure i'm not just forgetting that sex bomb was on there! (+ i've listened to that album many dozens of times.)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:37am
coelacanth:

i'm considering the possibility that it's an issue from some country that had a problem with the word "sex" in song titles. ..Is that possible?
Avatar 1:41am
Droll:

c, It's possible... all I know is what Discogs tells me now. They're a work in progress, a minor release is naturally going to show up late in the game.
