Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:23am Doug Schulkind:

@Dean
I used to go to see Shakespeare at the Folger Library as a kid. I remember one particular performance when, during a sword fight on stage, the shaft of one of the actor's swords broke off and flew into the audience striking a pregnant woman. She shrieked the most bloodcurlding shriek, but turned out to be unharmed. The actors were all as terribly shaken as the audience and were ready to call the show quits for the evening and have everyone refunded. But the crowd rallied and implored them to go on and they did, beginning with the sword fight scene from the top. Not a soul was breathing during the scene as the blades clashed metallically in the deafening silence. It seemed to take forever and when the scene ended, the entire house leapt to its collective feet. The cast then continued on to the end and it was thrilling.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:25am Doug Schulkind:

What a great experience for a youngster to cement an interest in Shakespeare. It obviously had quite the impact.

I've always preferred Shakespeare in performance to trying to read it myself. Maybe TV just ruined me that much. But I just feel it loses something if not acted.

love the room sound in the recording. it sounds like they put one microphone from a mono wollensack in the corner and just rolled. love the slight reverb on the guitar.

Yes, ken. It has a live-in-the-studio sound.

Dunno, Uncle Michael. Couldn't find any info on this other than the new Numero Group release of the Eccentric Soul comp.
