Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:21pm
common:

this is great!
Avatar 2:22pm
Cecile:

Yeah! I heard a couple of tracks from them while I was browsing around YouTube the other day. Great percussionist. And I don't even like jazz fusion. They were definitely decent.
Avatar 2:23pm
Duane:

Yeah Cecile, they had some jams. They were South African, so they had a BIG swing to them. good stuff
Avatar 2:23pm
Cecile:

and yeah, you can make great sour dills in your fridge. No sterilizing necessary (but you want to make sure everything is real clean).

I thought they were from Uruguay?

Uncle D!

Don't like jazz fusion?

I've done that before. I think I might put some chilies w/ the cucumbers this time.
Avatar 2:24pm
Duane:

Cecile.: Yeah I meant to say South AMERICAN.
Avatar 2:25pm
Cecile:

I am very, very, very picky about it.
And once there is a cheesy synth that is not meant to be humorous, I'm out of there.
Avatar 2:25pm

Other djs have been playing Duane's uncle lately.
Avatar 2:26pm

hahahahhahahaha, Duane, with a name like that you never know.

I put some chiles in there, but not enough ngh.

Oh I adore this track!
Avatar 2:27pm
Jan Audun Uretsky:

a Sonia Pottenger (sp?) production!
  2:28pm
Mahavishnu:

So Chick Corea would annoy you with his cheesy Return to Forever synth quality, but Zawinul might please with the organic tones he coaxed from his synths? And my man Jan Hammer was somewhere in the middle. I got ya.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:29pm
chris:

The Letta Mbulu track on your All the Way Live CD, Duane... is. the. bomb! I can't get enough of her.

Avatar 2:39pm
Cecile:

Prog is also kind of iffy, although I have a great soft spot for King Crimson.

fred, it was a potluck lunch. We had to bring our own food. We were doing a "heritage" theme and asked to bring a dish reflecting our ethnic heritage. Since I grew up in bars, I was going to bring pickled eggs. But that was too much work, so I summored the Germanish part of my psyche and made pickles.
  2:43pm
Yanni's Hair Dryer:

Anyone remember Charles Wright and the 103rd St. Watts Band? Did I dream that name up? I used to have an old 45 with a song called "Wine" on it that I dug.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:55pm

@Cecile: I'll rescind my application then, any company that would ask for a sample of my cooking skills might run afoul of the CDC, and nobody wants that
