Live Performance by Chris Moore with Tom Gavin

After a punkier musical start as Negative Approach's drummer, Chris Moore settled into a gentler approach becoming a muti-instrumentalist, an award winning songwriter, collaborator and teacher. These days Chris fronts Moore and Sons, described as "rustic chamber folk" with his emotionally wry, conversational vocals up front. Moore just released "Harmless Blues" with another album, "Community Service," not far behind. Chris Moore, along with Tom Gavin, played some of these new tunes live for us on WFMU.

I'm over in the back corner, in the uncomfortable plastic blue chair, hat duffed but listening intently....hoping the two legs I'm leaning back on don't break....

But I did bring Tuaca shots for all.

Oh. Wait. I might have already, uh, drank them all.

You guys do know that Friday the 13th looms. Right? In a Mars Retrograde...? How ominous is THAT? We're all DOOMED I say.

Avatar 9:42pm
Van in DC:

Or was it oboe. I forget now. There's a song in there somewhere and SVE could find it... ;)
Avatar 9:47pm

There it is. Clarinet, violin, & piano studied. But trained herself on guitar. SVE. Huh. She is awesome on guitar though. en.wikipedia.org...

Wow, to think that precisely one minute after this show, the Brown family will let Bobbi Christina die by lifting life support...just so she can die on the same date as Whitney...who was really a tremendous talent.

How sad. In so many ways.

Irene, I was wondering about the ELO/Jeff Lynne ratio. Those other guys looked pretty young. I did see Tony Bennett smiling at Angus Young, which was a brain sprain for me.
