	2:10pm Cecile: it wasn't like this cauldron at first. usually it was just a clutch of dudes in the middle. You could avoid it and still see the band. It kept getting worse and worse the longer it went on.

	2:20pm Cheri Pi: Cecile, what you just said, I never considered hardcore a scene, only a style of music and we used the term liberally for anything punk at the time, 1985-88ish so I've never been part of any scene, thankfuly, just there to see the music.

	2:21pm Cheri Pi: Scenes in Cincinnati are so obnoxious, I can't stand in-group dynamics.
	2:22pm Cecile: I had to listen to "old" stuff like the worst Weezer albums, and crappy new stuff like Cage the Elephant and Arctic Monkeys.
	2:22pm mavrg: My son thinks punk is stupid. But loves heavy metal. It's the 1980s all over again in my family.

	2:25pm mavrg: I've told him that, and the same with him liking Anthrax, Slayer, all those bands. And that Motorhead and Venom were embraced by the punk scene back then. He says he thinks the lyrics are dumb, and punks can't play guitar. I told him Motley Crue wrote some of the most useless lyrics ever. Who knows, as he enters his angst teen years maybe he'll come around.

	2:47pm Caryn: Some studies indicate that new wild elephant generations have smaller tusks, and in some cases, no tusks. This may be because the elephants with the big tusks are killed by poachers sometimes before they breed. But as a result, elephants are becoming less poachable, because of the lack of tusks. So poachers are causing problems for themselves, and elephants are essentially evolving into a form that is safer from hunting. An interesting long-term solution to the problem.

This may be because the elephants with the big tusks are killed by poachers sometimes before they breed. But as a result, elephants are becoming less poachable, because of the lack of tusks. So poachers are causing problems for themselves, and elephants are essentially evolving into a form that is safer from hunting. An interesting long-term solution to the problem.
