I talked to him for about 20 mins and go the impression he was a roadie or a guitar tech or something. I ask him how long he had worked with the band and he says " I've been the guitarist for a long time" moral of the story - know what your clients look like!

	4:54pm Mike East: @P90 - they said it wasn't his, but my coworker had been playing that piano just before the rehearsal, and there was no blood on it when he finished. We threw an upright in the room to make them happy, so it worked out okay. Weird situation...which we are used to around here.

Janis originally sang in a much more traditional blues style, the "overwrought wailing" was insisted upon by bandmates and management, because they considered it a style that their audience at the time would embrace. Janis herself was never totally comfortable with that style, but it and she were def embraced...
