WFMU: Put The Needle On The Record with Billy Jam: Playlist from July 24, 2015

	6:10pm Billy Jam: Today's show is dedicated to NJ born, Oakland CA based couple Timi D and Sarah Chase who get married tomorrow. The WFMU fans credit their initial getting together a decade ago to them discovering their shared backgrounds of each coming from New Jersey and each already been fans of WFMU as proven by the WFMU 2005/2006 program guide in Timi's back pocket from when he was out here at WFMU hanging out during this show when it was late nights. For these two NJFMUers big day tomorrow (that will be DJed by Toph One and B-Love) DJ Loop Skywalker took a Dawgisht beat ("Lovey Dovey") and mixed and scratched in an interview I did with Timi D on a mix we are calling "Timi D Is Getting Married (Wedding Scratch)." Using a segment of the same interview with Timi D and taking a freestyle compositional approach DJ ALF has composed a similarly themed track that he's entitled "Timi D & Sarah Bounce." Loop Skywalker's mix today (his fourth in the series) is rock themed and will include Lynard Skynard, Nice N Smooth, Nirvana, Eric b and Rakim,, Oasis, Beastie Boys, and Black Sabbath. Once again Loop's mix is so damn deep and layered with simultaneous sounds and recurring narration on the genre of rock that it will take a few listens to fully absorb it all. The 20 minute mix is essentially a radio documentary served up in Loop's always on point, funky, fresh, unique style - that is over before you want it to end. Kimzilla will intro Loop's mix, while The Mighty Grouse will do the outro to "Shut Up Weirdo" at 6pm over a cool instrumental he dug up recently - Quintet Of Modern Jazz "Raspberries And Cream" (De Wolfe LP Library). As for me? I will be doing no talking, just picking out music which I think u will like - new, classic, forgotten - a balance of MC/vocal tracks with DJ & instrumental tracks. Thanks to the 3 hours I will stretch out with some artist selections including Mr Dibbs, DJ Quest, and Serengeti. THANKS for listening. 	6:10pm Billy Jam: Today's show is dedicated to NJ born, Oakland CA based couple Timi D and Sarah Chase who get married tomorrow. The WFMU fans credit their initial getting together a decade ago to them discovering their shared backgrounds of each coming from New Jersey and each already been fans of WFMU as proven by the WFMU 2005/2006 program guide in Timi's back pocket from when he was out here at WFMU hanging out during this show when it was late nights. For these two NJFMUers big day tomorrow (that will be DJed by Toph One and B-Love) DJ Loop Skywalker took a Dawgisht beat ("Lovey Dovey") and mixed and scratched in an interview I did with Timi D on a mix we are calling "Timi D Is Getting Married (Wedding Scratch)." Using a segment of the same interview with Timi D and taking a freestyle compositional approach DJ ALF has composed a similarly themed track that he's entitled "Timi D & Sarah Bounce." Loop Skywalker's mix today (his fourth in the series) is rock themed and will include Lynard Skynard, Nice N Smooth, Nirvana, Eric b and Rakim,, Oasis, Beastie Boys, and Black Sabbath. Once again Loop's mix is so damn deep and layered with simultaneous sounds and recurring narration on the genre of rock that it will take a few listens to fully absorb it all. The 20 minute mix is essentially a radio documentary served up in Loop's always on point, funky, fresh, unique style - that is over before you want it to end. Kimzilla will intro Loop's mix, while The Mighty Grouse will do the outro to "Shut Up Weirdo" at 6pm over a cool instrumental he dug up recently - Quintet Of Modern Jazz "Raspberries And Cream" (De Wolfe LP Library). As for me? I will be doing no talking, just picking out music which I think u will like - new, classic, forgotten - a balance of MC/vocal tracks with DJ & instrumental tracks.
