Congrats & many more. BTW, really something how much better sounding that vinyl Brass Tacks is compared to CD.9:39am : Happy 39th. Bob![]()
♥ 9:40am :
Yowzie! How many hours of programming in 39 years on the radio? Estimate: 39 * 50 * 3 = 5850 hours![]()
♥ 9:41am :
D'oh! This is a 2-hour program, not 3. Estimate: 39 * 50 * 2 = 39009:43am : Love your Sat. selection of music! I usually listen to Dave Hill on Monday nights and now I'll tune into your show, too.9:47am : The sequencing of "Fotheringay"->"Mr Lacey" on the Holidays LP is one of the worst in all of rock. You go from this ethereal, ageless tune to a middling shuffle.![]()
9:49am : Nice! Mornin bb!9:51am : That's go to be TA on piano!9:52am : Make that "got".9:52am : Jeffery, Bob and Michael... the WFMU Saturday morning Triumvirate...9:55am : Been listening since 1980!![]()
10:17am : That last song was grand!10:29am : blow man, BLOW!![]()
♥ 10:31am :
@mrmucho: I always thought that was an awkward transition, too. Then it's back to the mellowness of 'Book Song'.10:48am : Sounds like Stan Kenton.![]()
♥ 10:49am :
Sounds like Matt Fiveash's opening theme!10:49am : Bob, great show again.
But I will disagree with you on the Yardbirds interview. This Lloyd Thaxton fellow actually paid attention to what made the Yardbirds interesting. He mentions the tempo changes, the guitar sound.
Is he kinda ham-handed? Yeah, but nice to hear a "Bandstand" host ditching the lame bio questions.![]()
♥ 10:49am :
Actually...the bed for his first mic break...my bad.![]()
♥ 10:50am :
This is a good half time show tune.10:58am : I always like the crickets bed sounds. And hello, folks!
