Street interviews, listener call-ins, vinyl gluttery, sporadic normalcy, original floperas and fiktion, blatant talking over songs, politix, tenderness, and a vague undercurrent of angst. Right up your alley!

Thanks for listening. I enjoyed putting this one together. It's nice when I can find willing interview participants with widely varying political views and lifestyle pursuances. No one needs preaching to the choir. Many times people will ask me why I didn't confront someone more vigorously during an interview, when the interview subject says something inflammatory or offensive. I'm probably too meek, to be honest. I'd rather try to establish a friendly back and forth, encouraging a reelaxed conversation for everyone involved, including me. Anyway ... too much explanation. About this week's music. Stray Dog. Remembered that song from high school. An old cut-out LP I found uptown, no doubt. I like the compressed sound of it. Kind of unique. I like hard rock. Niagara. I Googled "lost bands of the 70's" and one of the names that came up was Niagara, so I looked into it and found their self-titled debut LP. All mostly drumming based songs. I liked it. Absolluttenen Nollapiste. Guess I was just fishing around in itunes and looked up Finnish pop out of curiousity. Their name came up. I really like it. Kind of Floyd-y. Burst - Always like to throw in some banshee screamo thing. Their from Sweden. It was between them and Demigod and I chose Burst because Demigod was so dark I just couldn't hang. Neil Ardley - Another one from the forgotten 70's Google search. A british jazz cat. I super dig his scene. How could you ever top the album name, Kaleidescope of Rainbows? You couldn't. Styx - Crystal Ball. I like it. I almost played a recently recorded Dennis DeYoung version, but I didn't. He sings it differently than Tommy Shaw. That Styxian Chorus, holy cow! Crystal ... Baaallllll!! Love that stuff. Prime Heartland PompRok. Flo and Eddie - Keep It Warm. Wow! I love it. Just stumbled across it. So Beach Boy and funny and well-done. Love Kaylan and Volman's vocal blend. Stone Temple Pilots - Sad about Scott Weiland. Wish he could have stayed around. Listen to him sing ... and always remember ... CPnyc1215-99 |

@P-90: Could be. Maybe if Harry, Larry & David, Jr., opened a cheesecake shop...
