Since the last newsletter I've gone through a second foot surgery. I'm currently bedridden, managing the pain and grateful I only have two feet. I'm also glad I thought ahead and sat down with my Podiatrist, Dr. Thomas Azzolini, last Saturday. We've been trying to align our schedules for quite some time and finally had the conversation I'd been imagining since I first suggested a sit-down.
Dr. Azzolini and I discuss my surgery in particular but the conversation goes much further afield, into the current state of health care in the U.S. and much more. I'd be more descriptive but this newsletter and the next will be brief for obvious reasons.
